I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Portuguese and Romance Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto, and a researcher at the Centre of Linguistics of University of Porto. I am a semanticist, mainly focussing on tense, aspect and rhetorical relations at sentence and discourse levels. My research is corpus-based, and has led to the creation of annotated corpora in an interdisciplinary approach with computer sciences. I also work on educational linguistics, studying and assessing grammar teaching methods.
